Australia's Power Minerals jumps on possible rare-earths expansion

** Shares of Power Minerals  PNN.AX  jump 33.3% to A$0.140,
set for best day since May 16, 2023, if gains hold
    ** Mineral explorer says expanded its project portfolio with
addition of the Waterlander project in Western Australia
    ** Co says the project is considered prospective for niobium
and rare earth elements
    ** PNN  plans to undertake targeted field work to define
initial drill targets upon grant of the exploration licence at
Waterlander
    ** About 1 mln shares change hands, compared with the 30-day
average volume of 173,000
    ** Shares down 50% YTD, as of last close
