** Shares of PTC India PTCI.NS jump 7.8% to 169.80 rupees

** Power ministry flagged changes to governance structure of state-run power trader, along with withdrawal of nominee directors of other state-owned power sector companies Power Finance CorpPWFC.NS , PowerGrid POWG.NS and NHPCNHPC.NS

** Move seen as simplifying ownership and strengthening governance

** Trading volume at nearly 3 mln shares vs 30-day-avg of 931,125 shares

** PTCI gained around 11% in 2025, down 2.4% so far in 2026
