Prada Hong Kong shares jump most in over 2 years on H1 revenue growth
BUZZ-Prada Hong Kong shares jump most in over 2 years on H1 revenue growth ** Hong Kong shares of Italian luxury group Prada 1913.HK jump 14.2% to HK$43.28, on course for their biggest one-day pct rise since March 2024
** Stock hits highest level since June 22
** Prada 1913.F extended its revenue growth in the first half, driven by strong demand in the Americas, although the acquisition of Versace, which the group is working to revive, weighed on profitability
** First-half net revenues rose 16% while adjusted operating profit fell 14%; both revenue and profitability were broadly in line with analysts' consensus
** Citi, with "neutral" rating, says shares likely to react positively to 2Q26 like-for-like improvements at the Prada brand and margin resilience
** Morningstar says Prada's sales still grow while loss-making Versace integration phases in and the shares are attractive
** "We believe the decline in appeal for the Prada and Miu Miu brands is well priced into a low-teens earnings multiple, without factoring in either a probable recovery from a fashion downcycle or the potential runway for growth" - Morningstar
** YTD, Hong Kong stock down 4.4%, while benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI up 0.3%
