Australasian Gold hits 2-month high on acquiring interest in lithium project

** Shares of the diversified metals explorer  A8G.AX  soar
as much as 21% to A$0.720, their highest since Nov 16 
    ** A8G to acquire 90% interest in a lithium exploration
package within the Northern Arunta LCT pegmatite province
through deal with ASX-listed Prodigy Gold   urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nASXbrpfKG
    ** Adds that exploration on the granted licences to commence
immediately following completion of transaction
    ** Shares on track for their biggest intraday pct gain since
Dec 16
    ** More than 2.7 mln shares change hands as compared with
the 30-day average volume of ~288,000 shares  
    ** Stock up 205.9% in 2021
