Petratherm jumps on securing rare-earths project in Southern Australia

** Shares of copper and gold miner Petratherm Ltd  PTR.AX 
jump as much as 11.3% to A$0.079 - set for their biggest
intraday pct rise since Aug. 8 if gains hold
    ** Co says it won a competitive bid for the Muckanippie rare
earth project in South Australia's Gawler Craton region

    ** More than 498,100 shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average of ~358,700 shares  
    ** PTR set to mark its fourth straight weekly drop    
    ** Stock up 61.4% this year, as of last close, vs a 4.5%
