** Shares of Australia's Pure Resources Ltd  PR1.AX  jump as
much as 12.8% to A$0.265 - set for best day since May 22, if
gains hold 
    ** Gold miner announces commencement of on-ground
exploration at Laforge Lithium Project (Project), Quebec, Canada
    ** Says the project represents a greenfields opportunity to
discover a significant lithium deposit in a Tier-1 jurisdiction
    ** Nearly 175,400 shares change hands, four times the 30-day
average volume 
    ** Stock down 14.6% this year, as of last close
