** The Daily Mirror and Daily Express publisher posts 23%
jump in H1 operating profit helped by cost cuts
** Says the European soccer championship boosted advertising
spend towards end of HY, trading in July in line with
expectations
** Adds on track to deliver annual market expectations
** Co trending slightly ahead of full year reduction in
operating costs of 5-6%
** Up to last close, stock had risen ~39% so far this year
