    ISTAT releases January retail sales data (0900 GMT).
    
    DEBT
    Italy's Treasury said on Tuesday it would offer 6.5 bln
euros in 12-month BOT bills at an auction on March 10.
    Italy sold 2.93 billion euros of its latest 'BTP Italia'
inflation-linked bond to retail investors on Tuesday, taking
total orders to 6.57 billion euros in the first two days of its
offering, Bourse data showed.
    Treasury ends offer of new 5-year BTP Italia index-linked
bond reserved to retail investors, subject to early closure.

    The Italian payments firm on Tuesday reported a 17% rise in
retailer transaction volumes for the first eight weeks of the
year as it met 2022 earnings expectations and confirmed its
guidance for 2023.

    Verona, 2nd edition "LET EXPO 2023" starts; ends on March
