Japan Q4 aluminium premiums set at $255/T, down 35% from Q3, sources say TOKYO, Oct 14 (Reuters) - The premiums for aluminium shipments to Japanese buyers for October to December were set at $255 per metric ton, down 35%from the previous quarter, reflecting recovering supplies from the Middle East, five people directly involved in the pricing talks said.
Japan is a major Asian importer of the light metal, and the premiums for primary metal shipments it agrees to pay each quarter over the London Metal Exchange (LME) cash price CMAL0 serve as the regional benchmark.
