*The 2016 interim dividend ex-date for Rio Tinto Limited ordinary shares is subject to change. ASX has announced a proposal to introduce a T+2 settlement cycle in Australia with a target implementation dated of 7 March 2016. ASX has indicated that the implementation date will be confirmed in late February 2016. Introduction of a T+2 settlement cycle would result in reduction of the number of business days between the ex-date and the record date to one business day (two business days under the current T+3 settlement cycle). Under a T+2 settlement cycle, the ex-date for the 2016 interim dividend for Rio Tinto Limited ordinary shares would be 11 August 2016. The record date would remain 12 August 2016.
