Rio Tinto plc notifies the London Stock Exchange (LSE) of PDMR/KMP interests in securities of Rio Tinto plc, in compliance with the UK Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rule 3.1. As part of its dual listed company structure, Rio Tinto voluntarily notifies the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) of such dealings. Rio Tinto also notifies both ASX and LSE of all dealings by PDMR/KMP in Rio Tinto Limited securities.
The UK Share Plan is an HMRC approved Share Incentive Plan under which qualifying UK employees are able to purchase on a quarterly basis Rio Tinto plc ordinary shares of 10p each ('Ordinary shares') out of monthly deductions from salary and are allocated an equivalent number of shares free of charge ('Matching shares'). 
Rio Tinto plc was notified on 9 July 2015 that on 7 July 2015 the following PDMR purchased Ordinary shares and were allocated the same number of Matching shares. These were non-discretionary transactions.
