RWE CEO: we have no interest in buying Uniper
RWE CEO: we have no interest in buying Uniper FRANKFURT, Aug 13 (Reuters) - RWE RWEG.DE, Germany's biggest power producer, has no interest in acquiring state-owned peer Uniper UN0k.DE, which is currently up for sale in a process run by UBS and JP Morgan.
"If something very material happens in our core market, I expect our M&A team to be involved, take a look, and if it's necessary, to have a seat at the table," RWE CEO Markus Krebber told analysts after presenting final first-half results.
"But you should also not be surprised when I can now confirm the obvious that we have no interest (...) to acquire Uniper."
