Australia's S2 Resources gains on securing exploration licences in NSW

** Shares of S2 Resources  S2R.AX  rise as much as 10% to
A$0.165, marking their best day since March 22
    ** S2R hits highest since March 31
    ** Gold and base metals explorer says it has received notice
of approval from the New South Wales (NSW) Department of Mining,
Exploration and Geoscience (DMEG) for 3 large exploration
licences covering 2,712km sq. at Koonenberry in northern NSW

    ** Although licences cover a substantial area, co says
expenditure commitments are modest and can easily be funded with
its existing resources without detracting from other projects   
    ** Stock had risen 15.4% so far this year, as of last close
