SINGAPORE, March 12 (Reuters) -
Major refiners in South Korea have started off their April
gasoil sales via spot tenders that close in the coming two days,
three sources familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.
Both SK Energy, a subsidiary of SK Innovation 096770.KS ,
and GS Caltex GSCAL.UL were offering 10ppm sulphur, 50ppm
sulphur, 500ppm sulphur and 5,000ppm sulphur gasoil via tenders
with validity on either March 12 or March 13.
SK Energy is so far offering one 450,000-barrel cargo
loading in early April for 10ppm sulphur gasoil. MDIS/TENDA
GS Caltex is offering to sell at least two 300,000-barrel
10ppm sulphur gasoil cargoes loading April 17-21 and April
21-25.
The private refiner is also offering 300,000 barrels of
50ppm sulphur gasoil loading April 22-26, three 300,000-barrel
cargoes of 500ppm sulphur gasoil loading April 5-9, April 8-12
and April 16-20, and 300,000 barrels of 5,000ppm gasoil loading
April 1-5.
This compares with around eight spot cargoes offered by GS
Caltex for March loading earlier, Reuters records showed.
Other South Korean refiners such as S-Oil 010950.KS were
also in private negotiations for April spot gasoil cargoes at
discounts more of than $1.50 a barrel, one of the sources added.
Previously, Taiwan's major refiners also sold some
April-loading gasoil cargoes at discounts of around $1 a barrel.
