Indian KFC operator Sapphire Foods reports wider quarterly loss
Oct 17 (Reuters) - Sapphire Foods SAPI.NS, which operates KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants in India, reported a net loss that widened year on year in the second quarter, as raw material and marketing expenses rose while urban demand remained soft. The company reported a consolidated net loss of 127.7 million rupees ($1.45 million), compared to a loss of 30.4 million rupees a year ago.
