Dutch stance on Schiphol 'extremely shocking', Air France-KLM CEO says

Feb 29 (Reuters) - The Dutch government's stance on
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is "extremely shocking", Air
France-KLM's AIRF.PA CEO said on Thursday.
The government aims to cut flights at Schiphol, one of
Europe's main air transport hubs, to 452,500 per year, almost
10% below 2019 levels, in a noise-reducing measure opposed by
KLM and others.
CEO Benjamin Smith said the decision "is still extremely
shocking for a company that brings so much value into the
Netherlands and has taken so long to build up."
"This is unprecedented in Europe," Smith added during a
press conference on the group's 2023 results.
