May 14 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is
seen opening lower on Tuesday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.2%.
* ANGLO AMERICAN: BHP Group BHP.AX is likely to sweeten
its $43 billion takeover offer for Anglo American for a second
time and possibly add cash, investors in both companies said,
after the London-headquartered target rejected a higher bid.
* SAVANNAH ENERGY: The Paris Court of Arbitration has
rejected a bid by Savannah Energy Plc SAVES.L to freeze COTCO
oil pipeline company's accounts after Chad nationalised its
upstream assets in the country, Chad's transitional government
said on Monday.
* OIL: Oil prices were little changed as investors eyed
fresh drivers, including upcoming U.S. inflation indicators and
a monthly report from the Organization of the Petroleum
Exporting Countries this week.
* METALS: Base metals were trading mixed as traders and
investors reviewed the sector's outlook amid recent Chinese
stimulus measures and a firmer dollar.
* FTSE: Britain's FTSE 100 snapped its six-session winning
streak on Monday, hurt by losses in aerospace and defence
stocks, while investors awaited more data and comments from Bank
of England (BoE) officials on the state of the economy.
