COPENHAGEN, May 1 (Reuters) - Danish industrial conglomerate Schouw & Co SCHO.CO has decided to pursue an initial public offering on Nasdaq Copenhagen for BioMar Group, a producer of feed for farmed fish and shrimp, it said on Friday.
BioMar is the world's third-largest producer of feed for high-value farmed fish and shrimp by volume, Schouw & Co says.
The proposed IPO is expected to comprise an offering of existing shares by Schouw & Co and a small tranche of new shares to be offered by BioMar.
The intention is to expand and diversify BioMar’s shareholder base with new Danish and international shareholders while Schouw & Co intends to remain a long-term majority shareholder, it said.
Schouw & Co said it was not yet clear how many shares would be offered or how much money it aims to raise from the IPO.
