Seche Environnement drops as preliminary 2025 EBITDA falls well below guidance

** Shares of Seche Environnement CCHE.PA fall 12.5% after the French waste manager slashed its 2025 EBITDA estimate, citing underperformance in energy recovery and circular economy activities in its home market

** In a preliminary statement, it said 2025 EBITDA would be 220 million euros ($261 million), vs previously guided 250-260 million euros

** Portzamparc analysts say the scale of the guidance cut was unexpected, triggering concerns over profitability

** The broker notes Seche's energy recovery segment has been impacted by falling energy prices, European chemical industry's struggles and underperforming energy recovery units, despite its resilience in hazardous waste and environmental services

** Seche also announces a performance plan targeting 15 million euros in additional EBITDA, improved cash generation and 100 million euros in net debt reduction by June 2027

** The shares are on track for their worst day since March 2025 if the losses hold

($1 = 0.8433 euros)
