RNS Number : 3202D Seed Innovations Limited 07 May 2026
SEED Innovations Ltd / AIM: SEED / Sector: Closed End Investments
7 May 2026
SEED Innovations Ltd
("SEED" or the "Company")
Investment in Feather Robotics, Inc., a US-based applied AI and industrial
robotics company
SEED Innovations Ltd (AIM: SEED), the AIM-quoted investing company, announces
that it has invested US$1,000,000 (c.£740,000) in Feather Robotics, Inc.
("Feather") in the form of a Simple Agreement for Future Equity ("SAFE").
Feather is a US-based robotics company developing modular humanoid robotic
systems designed for deployment in real-world industrial environments. Its
approach differs from a number of existing providers in that its systems are
designed for deployment rather than research, with a focus on cost efficiency
and practical application. The platform is modular in design, allowing it to
be adapted across a range of industrial processes, and is intended to address
mobile and intermittent tasks that are not well suited to traditional fixed
automation. Feather is also positioning its technology as a general-purpose
hardware platform for physical AI developers and integrators, supporting wider
adoption and scalability.
Jim Mellon, Non-Executive Chair of SEED, commented: "This is a compelling
first investment under our revised strategy, reflecting our focus on applied
AI and robotics where we are seeing a shift from concept to real-world
deployment. Given how quickly Feather has moved since formation, including
delivering its first customer system and demonstrating practical use, we
believe this is the right point at which to be investing. The funding will
support further development and scaling, and we look forward to supporting
Feather's team as it grows."
DETAILS
SEED has invested US$1,000,000 from existing cash resources in Feather in the
form of a SAFE. The SAFE will convert into equity at the next qualifying
funding round or other liquidity event, at the lower of the valuation of that
round and a US$60 million valuation cap. The SAFE is unsecured (ranking pari
passu with preferred stock), non-repayable and is not interest bearing.
AIM Rule 12 Disclosure
The investment constitutes a Significant Transaction under AIM Rule 12.
Feather is a US-based robotics company developing humanoid robotic systems for
industrial deployment and was incorporated in January 2025. Based on
management accounts, Feather Robotics Inc. reported a loss of approximately
US$0.24 million for the period to 31 December 2025.
