Europe Distillates-Diesel profit margins edge up LONDON, Nov 6 (Reuters) - Northwest European diesel refining margins rose 1.36% on Friday as oil prices headed for a decline.
Low-sulphur gasoil futures LGOc1 traded at a premium of $69.36 a barrel to Brent crude futures LCOc1 by 1744 GMT, up around 93 cents from the previous close
France has released 3.6 million barrels of diesel stocks, which is just over a third of the total pledged amount, from its strategic reserve so far in the first week of release, the French energy ministry said.
India's fuel consumption in October rose nearly 10% from the previous month, its highest level since March.
US refiners significantly reduced motor gasoline yields to prioritize higher-margin distillate fuel oil and jet fuel amid constrained global supplies, the Energy Information Administration said on Thursday.
Oil prices were set for a sharp weekly fall after the election losses of US President Donald Trump's Republican Party raised hopes of a de-escalation in the US-Israeli war on Iran and a stock market sell-off, though attacks on vessels in the Middle East continue to provide a floor to crude. O/R
