** Spot silver XAG= rose 0.18% to $113.1964 per ounce, after hitting a record high of $117.69 on Monday

** Prices rise as weakening confidence in the U.S. dollar and concerns around the independence of the U.S. Federal Reserve boosted demand for the metal

** Hecla Mining HL.N up ~2%; Coeur Mining CDE.N up 2%

** Canadian miners Endeavour Silver EDR.TO, EXK.N up 2.1%; Silvercorp Metals SVM.TO, SVM.N up 1.3%

** Abrdn Physical Silver Shares ETF SIVR.P and iShares Silver Trust ETF SLV.P both up marginally
