** Shares of Siren Gold Ltd  SNG.AX  rise as much as 8.8% to
A$0.370, their biggest intraday pct gain since Oct 20
    ** Co to raise A$4 mln ($2.97 mln) by way of a placement to
fund drilling at the Alexander River and Big River projects

    ** Co to issue 11.4 mln new shares under the placement,
making up 24.7% of its free float
    ** New shares are priced at A$0.35, a premium of nearly 3%
to co's last close on Oct 29, after which co went on trading
halt
