Bermuda-based SiriusPoint names Martin Hudson as board director

Sept 4 - (The Insurer) – Bermuda-based specialty re(insurer) SiriusPoint has named Martin Hudson as a board director.

Hudson joins as a Class-III director and brings more than four decades of international (re)insurance leadership experience in underwriting, risk management and executive management, SiriusPoint said in a statement on Wednesday.

Hudson, whose appointment is effective from September 1, has held senior roles at Travelers Insurance, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group and Old Mutual Specialty Insurance, and currently serves as independent non-executive director at Liberty Mutual Managing Agency and Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe SE.

“Martin’s experience of working with businesses through both challenging remediation phases and successful growth strategies will be invaluable,” said Bronek Masojada, chair of the board.
