SEOUL, Sept 26 (Reuters) - Shares of South Korean drugmakers fell on Friday after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened new drug tariffs, with Samsung Biologics 207940.KS down 1.6%, off a more than eight-month low, while SK Biopharmaceuticals 326030.KS slid 2.6%.
Celltrion 068270.KS, which said on Tuesday it had paid $330 million to acquire Imclone Systems LLC from Eli Lilly LLY.N in the United States, rose 1.3% after recouping losses.
Trump threatened 100% duties on all imports of branded drugs from October 1, unless their makers had already broken ground for manufacturing plants in the United States.
