Novavax gains as partner files for COVID booster approval in S.Korea

** Shares of vaccine maker Novavax  NVAX.O  rise as much as
12.2% to $18.29; stock among top pct. gainers in the Nasdaq
Biotechnology Index  .NBI  
    ** NVAX says its partner, SK Bioscience, has submitted an
application to the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety to
allow the use of its COVID-19 vaccine as a booster in adults

    ** Adds that the Korean Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention had advised last month that Nuvaxovid can be used
off-label as a booster in adults 
    ** NVAX's protein-based vaccine, Nuvaxovid, has been
authorized in the European Union, Japan, Australia, New Zealand,
and Switzerland for use as a booster shot in adults 
    ** Including session moves, stock down ~88% vs a 20% fall in
