** South Korean biopharmaceutical stocks jump as domestic
COVID-19 infections rise
    ** Vaccine maker SK Bioscience  302440.KS  gains more than
9% to the highest since mid-Dec 2022
    ** Testing kit maker Seegene  096530.KQ  jumps over 14% to
hit a near six-month high
    ** Heavyweight pharmaceutical manufacturers Samsung
Biologics  207940.KS  and Celltrion  068270.KS  rise more than
2% each
    ** COVID infections rose to 313,906 on daily average last
week, up 24% from the prior week and 180% from five weeks before
    ** The benchmark KOSPI  .KS11  down 0.68% and the junior
KOSDAQ  .KQ11  up 0.45% as of 0550 GMT
