Australia's Ironbark Zinc soars on funding progress for Greenland project

** Shares of Ironbark Zinc  IBG.AX  rise as much as 23.7% to
A$0.047, on track for its biggest intraday percentage gain since
Oct 18
    ** Zinc explorer gets standalone designation from U.S. EXIM
bank under the U.S. government's recently introduced China and
Transformational Export Program for its Citronen Zinc Project in

    ** Under program, co's project loan application is now
eligible for special consideration under specific provisions 
    ** Says funding application is in the process of being
assessed while financing discussions with EXIM credit team
remain ongoing for a decision in the current quarter 
    ** Shares hit their highest since Nov. 8 
    ** More than 8.1 mln shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of ~3 mln
    ** Stock has risen 72.7% this year, as of last close
