** Shares of South Korean companies related to the marijuana
business jump after recreational marijuana becomes legal in

    ** BioVill Co Ltd  065940.KQ , which acquired a licence for
recreational marijuana and has permission to distribute medical
marijuana, surge 29.8 pct
    ** New Pride Corp  900100.KQ , which established its
subsidiary company NP Pharm LLC for cannabis-related business,
soar 10.7 pct
    ** Other shares such as Semicon Light Co Ltd  214310.KQ  and
Osung Advanced Materials Co Ltd  052420.KQ  also jump nearly 10
pct each
    ** Companies operate marijuana-based businesses via their
affiliates or units outside South Korea, where the drug is not
legal
    ** The broader KOSPI market  .KS11  falls 0.6 pct as of 0310
