acquisitions and disposals were reported by 09:30 a.m. GMT on
Tuesday:

    ** Japan's antitrust watchdog said it did not expect a
merger between Microsoft Corp  MSFT.O  and Activision Blizzard
 ATVI.O  to stifle competition, helping clear the way for the
Xbox maker's $69 billion acquisition of the "Call of Duty"

    ** UK's anti-trust regulator said it was looking into
whether EDF's  EDF.PA  proposed acquisition of General Electric
Co's  GE.N  France-based nuclear turbine unit could lead to

    ** BP  BP.L  and Abu Dhabi's state oil giant offered to
acquire 50% of Israeli offshore natural gas producer NewMed

    ** Lundin Mining Corp  LUN.TO  on Monday said it would buy a

knocked back an approach from the world's biggest lithium
producer Albemarle Corp  ALB.N   that valued the lithium

    ** Philippine infrastructure conglomerate Metro Pacific
Investments Corp  MPI.PS  said it signed a deal to acquire a
minority stake in renewable energy firm SP New Energy Corp

    ** United Malt Group Ltd  UMG.AX  granted exclusive due
diligence access to Malteries Soufflet, a branch of French
