U.S. stocks plunged on Wednesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial
Average falling more than 450 points, as investors were spooked
by the latest signals from the bond market that pointed to
heightened risk of a recession.  .N 
    At 10:31 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI 
was down 1.45% at 25,652.51. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 1.05%
at 2,851.53 and the Nasdaq Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.70% at
7,778.735.
