** Newspapers and magazines distributor Smiths News receives warning notice from UK Pensions Regulator related to the Tuffnells Parcels Express pension scheme, associated with co's unit Tuffnells Parcels Express that it owned between 2014 and 2020

** UK Pensions Regulator considering issuing Financial Support Direction against SNWS with total possible liability that could amount to about 3.5 million pounds ($4.7 million)

** Co says it "acted reasonably throughout its time as parent of Tuffnells and that it was an overall net contributor of funding to Tuffnells during its period of ownership"

** YTD, SNWS down 1.71%
