UK's Smiths News gains as FY profit outlook in line with market view

** Shares of Smiths News  SNWS.L  up 5.9% at 43.2p, among
top pct gainers on London's small-caps  .FTSC  index  
    ** The newspapers and magazines distributer sees annual
operating profit of at least 38.3 mln pounds ($46.2 mln), in
line with market expectations 
    ** Expects to recommend final dividend for year of no less
than 2.7p per share 
    ** On track to log best day of gains since Aug. 9, if trend
holds 
    ** Stock down ~9% YTD, including session's gains
