** Shares of Structural Monitoring Systems  SMN.AX  climb as
much as 12% to A$0.515, their biggest intraday pct gain since
April 19
    ** SMN, which provides manufacturing services to the
aviation industry, appoints Ross Love to the role of executive

    ** Love was formerly a senior partner at Boston Consulting
Group (BCG), where he oversaw the firm's client relationship
with Australian carrier Qantas Airways  QAN.AX  and BCG's global
airline practice  
    ** Current chairman Bryant McLarty to become a to
non-executive director 
    ** Stock hits highest level since June 3
    ** SMN down 26.2% this year, as of last close
