Board Changes

Smurfit Westrock plc (the “Company”) today filed a Form 8-K with the U.S.
Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) disclosing that Terrell K.
Crews and Lourdes Melgar both members of the Board of Directors (the
“Board”), have notified the Company that they will be stepping down from
the Board, effective as of the conclusion of the Company’s 2026 Annual
General Meeting of Shareholders, which is currently scheduled for 1 May 2026.
The Board and the Company thank Terrell and Lourdes for their service and
their contributions to the Company during the formative period following the
combination of Smurfit Kappa Group plc and WestRock Company.

Consequently, effective as of their board retirement, Terrell will be stepping
down as Chair of the Audit Committee and as a member of the Finance Committee,
and Lourdes will be stepping down as a member of the Audit and Sustainability
Committees. Carole L. Brown will succeed Terrell as Chair of the Audit
Committee, effective as of such time. Appropriate succession arrangements will
be implemented within the relevant Board Committees. The Form 8-K is available
