BUCHAREST, Aug 16 (Reuters) - Romanian state-owned hydro
power producer Hidroelectrica ROH2O.BX
* Says recorded a net profit of 3.95 billion lei ($872.62
million) in the first half, up 46% on the year, driven by higher
power production and sales.
* Says net electricity production rose 45% in the first half
compared with the same period of 2022 to 10.6 TWh, fuelled by
high hydraulics recorded in the first half as well as a base
effect as a result of last year's ]drought.
* Says its EBITDA rose 38% on the year to 4.96 billion lei.
* The company listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange on July
12 after an initial public offering gave it a valuation of $10
billion.
