Brief: Romania's Transgaz posts 12 pct fall in Q1 net profit

BUCHAREST, May 13 (Reuters) - Romanian state-owned gas 
pipeline operator Transgaz  ROTGN.BX   
     
    Says its first quarter net profit fell 12 percent on the 
year to 199.3 million lei ($50.22 million). 
    Says earnings per share stood at 16,93 lei, compared with 
19,25 lei in the same period of last year.
