Brief: Romania's Transgaz posts 13 pct fall in Q1 net profit

BUCHAREST, May 16 (Reuters) - Romanian state-owned gas 
pipeline operator Transgaz  ROTGN.BX   
     
    * Says its first-quarter net profit fell 13 percent on the 
year to 172.5 million lei  ($43.59 million), against 199.3 
million lei in January-March 2015. 
    * Says reported net profit was higher than budget estimates 
for the quarter.     
    * Says operational income rose 4 percent on the year to 
482.4 million lei. Earnings per share stood at 14,65 lei, down 
from 16,93 in the same quarter of last year.
