BUCHAREST, May 13 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press

    GDP 
    Romania's National Statistics Board to release flash 
estimate for the first quarter gross domestic product at 0700 
GMT. 
     
    TRANSGAZ RESULTS 
    Romania's state-owned gas pipeline operator Transgaz is due 
to release first quarter financial results. 
     
    INFLATION 
    Romanian inflation edged down to 0.7 percent on the year in 
April against March's 0.8 percent, a touch above market 
expectations and sharply below a 1.5-3.5 percent target range, 
data from the National Statistics Board showed on Tuesday.

    INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT 
    Romania's adjusted industrial output  ROIP=ECI  rose 0.3 
percent on the month in March and was up 2.9 percent on the

    ROMGAZ 
    Romania's state-owned natural gas producer Romgaz SA said on 
Tuesday it recorded a net profit of 563 million lei ($142.33 
million) in the first quarter, down 7.4 percent on the year and

    TRANSGAZ 
    Romanian state-owned gas pipeline operator Transgaz said on 
Tuesday it will ask shareholders to approve a plan to issue up 
to 500 million lei ($125.87 million) worth of five-year bonds to

    ENERGY RESOURCES 
    Romania's energy production rose by 4.9 percent on the year 
in March and exports continued to soar, data from the National
