ROMGAZ PROFIT SURGES
State-controlled natural gas producer Romgaz SA
ROSNG.BX SNGRq.L recorded a net profit of 243.04 million lei
($68.33 million) in the third quarter, 39.3 percent up on the
year, with revenues boosted by gas price deregulation.

Gas pipeline operator Transgaz ROTGN.BX posted a
nine-month net profit of 374 million lei ($105 million), above
forecast and more than double compared with the same period of

Romania's economy will grow more than 1 percent in the third
quarter and revised data will show the country did not tip into
recession as previously announced, leftist Prime Minister Victor

FONDUL
Fondul Proprietatea SA FP.BX announced its intention to
sell up to 2,047,095 ordinary shares it currently owns in Conpet
SA on the Bucharest stock exchange. The shares, which represent
a 23.6 percent of the total number of shares issued by Conpet
SA, will be sold via an accelerated book-build offering.

CEE MARKETS
Czech stocks fell on Wednesday, bucking a rise in other
