Romania Transgaz profit rises 2.3 pct y/y in 2013

BUCHAREST, Feb 17 (Reuters) - Romania's state-owned gas pipeline operator Transgaz ROTGN.BX recorded a preliminary net profit of 336.9 million lei ($102.88 million) in 2013, up 2.3 percent on the year due to a 10 percent increase in revenues, it said on Monday. Transgas was expected to post a drop of 19.1 percent in its 2013 net profit to 266.5 million lei, an average forecast from a poll of five banks and brokerages showed last week. The profit was reported under international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and unaudited.
