Romanian Transgaz posts 31 pct drop y/y in net profit in Jan-Sept

Nov 14 (Reuters) - Romanian state-owned gas pipeline
operator Transgaz ROTGN.BX
* Says its net profit fell 31 percent on the year in the
first nine months to 299.3 million lei ($72.55 million).
* Says its operating revenue before balancing and
construction activity fell 14 percent on the year to 1.12
billion lei, influenced by lower booking volumes and tarrifs as
well as a 0.4 percent fall in the amount of gas it transported.
* Says its third-quarter net profit fell 40 percent from the
same quarter of last year to 19.7 million lei.
* Says its investments this year totalled 168.6 million lei
by September.
