Romanian Transgaz posts Q1 net profit of 236.6 mln lei, down 26 pct y/y

May 15 (Reuters) - Romanian state-owned gas pipeline
operator Transgaz  ROTGN.BX 
    
    * Says its net profit fell 26 percent on the year in the
first quarter to 236.6 million lei ($61.05 million), pushed down
by lower transmission tariffs and lower gas volumes.
    * Says its operating revenue before the balancing and
construction activity, according to IFRIC12 fell by 16 percent
on the year to 535.5 million lei.
