** Shares of Australia's South32 S32.AX rise as much as 2.9% to A$5.290, hitting their highest level since April 4, 2022
** World's biggest manganese producer posts 55% jump in annual underlying earnings attributable to $1.03 billion
** S32 extends its $2.6 billion shareholder returns programme by six months to September 2027
** Co declares final dividend of 5.4 cents per share, higher than 2.6 cents apiece declared last year
** Stock up 45% this year, including the day's move
