Australia's South32 logs 10% fall in fourth-quarter copper output
Australia's South32 logs 10% fall in fourth-quarter copper output July 20 (Reuters) - Australia's South32 S32.AX on Monday logged a 10% fall in copper production for the fourth quarter on the back of lower-grade material processing, as impacts from inclement weather continued to hamper mine access at the Sierra Gorda project.
The diversified miner reported payable copper output of 16 thousand metric tons from its stake in the Sierra Gorda project in Chile for the three months ended June 30, compared with 17.7 Kt posted a year ago.
That missed the Visible Alpha consensus estimate of 17.5 Kt.
