Japan Q3 aluminium premiums set at $395/T, up 12%-13% from Q2, sources say TOKYO, July 8 (Reuters) - The premiums for aluminium shipments to Japanese buyers for July to September were set at $395 per metric ton, up 12%-13% from the previous quarter, reflecting tighter supply amid the Iran war, five sources directly involved in the pricing talks said.
Japan is a major Asian importer of the light metal and the premiums for primary metal shipments it agrees to pay each quarter over the London Metal Exchange (LME) cash price CMAL0 serve as the regional benchmark.
