** Shares of Sovereign Metals  SVM.AX  up 8.9% at A$0.49,
their highest level since Aug 15 
    ** Graphite developer says its Kasiya lithium-ion battery
graphite programme has been significantly upscaled 
    ** Says bulk sampling programme to extract over 100 tonnes
of ore from Kasiya project, in Malawi, is underway
    ** Adds, programme is for lithium-ion battery anode test
work and product qualification
    ** About 545,852 shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of 224,570
    ** Including day's gain, stock up ~32% YTD
