Australia's Sparc Technologies hits 1-week high on new managing director

** Shares of Sparc Technologies  SPN.AX  climb as much as
7.6% to A$0.285, their highest since Dec. 27
    ** Technology firm appoints Nick O'Loughlin as Managing
Director, effective from Jan. 29
    ** Says Nick has led Sparc's involvement with the
Sparc Hydrogen JV, as well as Sparc's sodium-ion battery project
with Queensland University of Technology
    ** More than 108,190 shares change hands as compared with
the 30-day average volume of ~81,936 shares  
    ** Stock has added nearly 8% in value last year
