Export Summary-United States sells soy to China, Spain

Oct 28 (Reuters) - The following is a snapshot of global
export markets for grains, oilseeds and edible oils as reported
by government and private sources, as of the close of business
on Friday:
SOYBEAN SALES: The U.S. Department of Agriculture confirmed
private sales of 126,000 tonnes of U.S. soybeans to China and
198,000 tonnes to Spain, all for delivery during the 2022/23
marketing year that began Sept. 1, 2022.
CORN PURCHASE: South Korea's Major Feedmill Group (MFG)
purchased an estimated 134,000 tonnes of animal feed corn in an
international tender that closed on Friday, European traders
said. The corn, expected to be sourced from South America or
South Africa, was for arrival in South Korea in February 2023.
SOYMEAL PURCHASE: South Korea's Major Feedmill Group (MFG)
purchased about 120,000 tonnes of soymeal in a private deal on
Thursday without an international tender being issued, European
traders said. It was purchased from trading house Cofco and
expected to be sourced either from China or the United States.
    PENDING TENDERS:
WHEAT TENDER UPDATE: A second trading house was believed to
have matched the lowest price of $373 a tonne c&f offered during
negotiations on a tender from Pakistan to purchase 500,000
tonnes of wheat that closed on Wednesday, European traders said.
Other trading houses were being asked by the state Trading
Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) to match the lowest price for the
remaining 120,000 tonne volume in the tender. Traders said they
believed Russian wheat would be chosen to supply Pakistan, but
technically offers are optional origin with the source country
being declared later on shipment. Eight trading houses were
initially assessed to be participating and no purchase had yet
been reported.
SUGAR TENDER: Egypt's state grains buyer, the General
Authority for Supply Commodities, is seeking 50,000 tonnes of
raw sugar of any origin on behalf of the Egyptian Sugar &
Integrated Industries Company. GASC said traders should submit
bids for payment at sight and 180-day letters of credit, and it
would choose between them. The deadline for offers is Oct. 29
and arrival is set between Dec 1-15 and/or Dec. 16-31.
WHEAT TENDER UPDATE: Iraq changed the closing date of its
international tender for 50,000 tonnes of wheat to Oct. 30 from
Oct. 24, traders said. The offer validity date in the tender
changed to Nov. 3 from Oct. 27, the traders said. The wheat can
be sourced from optional origins but Russian wheat cannot be
offered, they said.
WHEAT TENDER: Jordan's state grain buyer issued an
international tender to buy 120,000 tonnes of milling wheat, an
official source said. The deadline for submission of price
offers in the tender is Nov. 1. Shipment is in March and April
2023.
BARLEY TENDER: Jordan's state grains buyer issued an
international tender to purchase 120,000 tonnes of animal feed
barley, an official source said. The deadline for submission of
price offers is Nov. 2. Shipment is sought in March and April,
2023. The tender will use finance from a loan from the Islamic
Development Bank.
