Oct 19 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1330 GMT on Monday:
     
** German drugmaker Merck KGaA MRCG.DE said  it will acquire Silence Therapeutics SLN.O in an all-cash deal for about $1.3 billion, adding precision engineered medicines and gene silencing to its portfolio.  nL4N4650Y2
     
** US consumer goods packaging maker Silgan Holdings SLGN.N and private equity firm American Industrial Partners will acquire Trivium Packaging in a deal that would value the European firm at $3.4 billion, including debt, the companies said. nL6N4650QI
     
** US investment firm KKR KKR.N said it will sell railcar-leasing company Infinity Transportation to peer Ares Management ARES.N for about $2.9 billion. nL4N4650RR
     
** Australian coal miner New Hope NHC.AX said it would acquire unlisted peer Malabar Resources in a deal valued at about A$2.4 billion ($1.67 billion), giving it full ownership of the Maxwell coal mine in New South Wales. nL4N46405Y
     
** Australia's FleetPartners FPR.AX said it had entered binding agreement to be bought by Pacific Equity Partners-backed SG Fleet in a deal valuing the vehicle leasing firm at A$1.13 billion ($786.71 million), sending its shares to a record high. nL4N46405G
     
** Austrian engine and engine parts manufacturer Steyr Motors 4X0.VI said US drone maker Red Cat Holdings RCAT.O plans to acquire the company in a deal valued at about €204.8 million ($230 million). nL8N4650CZ
     
** French supermarket chain Carrefour CARR.PA has entered into an agreement with Colruyt Group COLR.BR to acquire local food retail company Codifrance for €152 million ($171 million), it said. nFWN4630NF
     
** German defence group Rheinmetall RHMG.DE and Swiss-based shipping company MSC have acquired Romanian shipyard Mangalia for €138 million ($155 million) and aim to develop it for both civilian and military shipbuilding, Rheinmetall said. nL8N4650DA
